Thai cartoonists urged the government to standardise their career development by allowing them a part of copyright ownership of the characters they produce as a way to upgrade the local animation industry to the international level.

According to the Regional Court, Rapidshare and “other file-hosting sites” have not put enough precautions in place to avoid copyright infringement. And, most damaging, the Hollywood Reporter also reports that the court fined Rapidshare 24 million, or about $34 million.
